The site is approximately 15 acres, located between
the Tyee Marina and Browns Point.
Derelict wooden barges were on the beach and in
the intertidal areas of the project site.
The barges provided a sheltered area for small fringe
marsh development. Large wooden debris has now been
placed on the site in order to maintain the salt vegetation.
All of the site will look similar to this once the
beach cleanup restoration activities have been completed.
Removal of the vessels and debris opened up the
intertidal area for juvenile salmonid migration.
