Olympic View Triangle Restoration Project

Completed in 2007. The project is adjacent to the Olympic View Resource Area Restoration Project. The Washington Department of Natural Resources (WDNR), as the landowner, served as the project manager.

Restoration Activities

A high salt marsh and riparian habitat was created at the head of the Thea Foss Waterway to benefit juvenile salmonids and a variety of other plans and animals. The project is approximately 1.2 acres.

FUNDING

The Trustees funded approximately $650,000.00 of this project, using funds the Commencement Bay Restoration Account.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS

Take I-5 to the Portland Ave. exit. At the light at the bottom of the ramp, turn right onto Portland Avenue. Turn right onto E. 11th St. and follow E. 11th St. until you get to E. F St. Follow E. F St. to the end of the street. The project is on the left side, behind the fenced Olympic View project.
