Property acquisition in 2004. The Trustees are partnering with King County, the City of Federal Way, and the Friends of the Hylebos (FOH) to acquire a series of seven parcels comprising 77.7 acres and to conduct actions to preserve, protect, enhance and restore riparian habitat along approximately 2,600 feet of the West Fork Hylebos Creek located within the parcels. At this time, the Trustees have assisted in the acquisition of one of the parcels and entered into a cooperative agreement for future acquisitions.
Restoration Activities
The Trustees are partnering with King County, the City of Federal Way, and the Friends of the Hylebos (FOH). The FOH is a non-profit conservation organization
dedicated to preserving the West Hylebos Wetlands State
Park and protecting and restoring the greater Hylebos
Creek Watershed. The overall project includes the acquisition
of a series of seven parcels comprising 77.7 acres. The objective is to
